Enrico Anglesio Award

Enrico Anglesio was one of GRELL’s founders, as well as its first president.
Enrico Anglesio Award is anually granted to young cancer epidemiology researchers and delivered in two occasions: firstly, at Annual GRELL Reunion and secondly, at the Annual IACR (International Cancer Registry Association).
According to tradition GRELL Reunion takes place on the Ascension Day.
In the last 15 years it has been possible to demand financial aid to participate at the ‘’Ascension Reunion’’ GRELL’s anual reunion.
The elegible persons are mainly young researchers or recent cancer registry groups representants from latin language countries and/or other participant countries. Our goal is to give young researchers the opportunity to show their research and their work in order to integrate our scientific community. Other situations might also be considered.
All the applications must be sent until February 28th.

The Anglesio Moroni Fund, is a foundation with its headquarters in Torino, Italy, that supports cancer investigations, provides education to researchers and doctors, publishes scientific texts and helps the international oncologic exchange.
The Fund has its roots at Enrico Anglesio’s (1908-2003) legacy, italian oncological medicine pioneer and Tumor Registry of Piemont founder.
His legacy was continued by the Anglesio family and that of Elena Moroni Zanetti, a milanese sociologist, that passed away prematurely as a cancer victim (1947-1999), the families gathered their efforts and started a patronage activity in order to perpetuate the work and the ideas of their beloved.
