The workshop on May 16th 2018 will take place at the Castello del Buonconsiglio, and the Congress venue of 17-18 May will be at the Social Theater.

Guests will be received with a welcome cocktail at Castello del Buon Consiglio, the same place where the workshop will take place. The social dinner of the meeting will be hosted at the MUSE museum; a special shuttle bus that will leave from the meeting venue will take guests to the dinner.

How to get to Trento

Trento has no airport. The closest airport is the Verona Catullo airport, 90 km away from Trento. Using this airport is the fastest and most practical way to reach Trento from all over Italy and Europe by flying with major air carriers, such as Alitalia, British Airways, Ryanair, Easyjet, Air Berlin, Air France, Lufthansa, Meridiana and Volotea. The Verona Porta Nuova railway station can be reached from the Catullo airport by a 15-minute trip. The first trains leave in the morning at 5.35, 6.30, 6.50 and 7.10 a.m., and continues every 20 minutes until 8.30 p.m., when frequency then falls to one every 40 minutes until 11.10 p.m. The Porta Nuova station has several daily frequencies with the Trento railway station (on the route heading northwards to Bolzano-Brennero). The duration of a trip from Verona to Trento is roughly 1 hour.


Another practical way to reach Trento is to use the Bologna Marconi airport, which is also connected to other major European airports. There is a 20 min. train service from this airport to the Bologna Centrale railway station. The first train leaves the airport at 5:30 a.m., and the last at 00:15 a.m.. From 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., a bus connects the airport to the station and vice versa every 11 minutes. The Bologna Centrale railway station also offers several daily frequencies with the Trento Railway station (on the route heading northwards to Bolzano-Brennero). The duration of a trip from Bologna to Trento is roughly 2 hours.


Other alternative, but less practical, routes include the following: 1) from the Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport, take a train to reach Brescia, Verona and finally Trento; 2) from the Venice Marco Polo airport, take a train to reach Verona and finally Trento; 3) from the Milan Linate airport, take a train to reach Verona and finally Trento. When you opt for these alternative routes, a trip to Trento will last around 2 ½ to 3 hours.

Getting around the city is very simple given the small extension of the Trento historic centre and residential area as a whole.
