Abstracts Submission Instructions
Welcome to the page dedicated to abstract submission for the upcoming GRELL meeting.
Researchers from Population-based Cancer Registries of latin countries and from ENCR member states are invited to submit abstracts for oral communications and posters of the 50th GRELL Scientific Meeting.
This section provides all the necessary information to prepare and submit your abstract correctly. The aim is to support authors in drafting a clear, complete, and scientifically sound abstract, in accordance with the required guidelines, in order to facilitate the evaluation process by the Scientific Committee.
Instructions for Authors
Abstract format

The abstract must be written in English.

The title of the abstract should contain no more than 120 characters (including spaces).

A maximum of 10 authors belonging to up to five different institutions should be specified. The authors will be separated by semicolon(;), indicating name and surname, without indication of the academic title (see example below).

The body of the abstract should contain no more than 300 words).

The abstract should include the following parts: Objectives, Methods, Results and Conclusions.

The abstract should not contain any table or figure, nor references.

The abstract must be submitted using the form available on the meeting web side.

Authors may indicate a preference for the type of presentation: Poster or Oral communication. Participants who are going to present an oral communication will be asked for consent to broadcast the communication via streaming (audio and slides).

If the abstract is accepted, at least one if the authors must be registered at the conference.

Presenters need to attend the conference in person

Abstracts will be evaluated by a Scientific Committee which will decide the acceptance of contributions and the mode of presentation.

Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be sent to the author indicated for correspondence, up to two weeks after the deadline for submission

The best oral communication and the poster presented at the meeting by a young (under 35 years old) GRELL researcher will be awarded a prize consisting on the fees reimbursement.
Important Dates
Deadline for submission of abstracts: March 31, 2026

Each contribution will be assessed independently by two reviewers. Only contributions aiming to issues inherent to population cancer registries will be accepted.
We seek to ensure a maximum representation of cancer registries of Latin languages countries accredited or in process of accreditation.
Multiple contributions from the same institution will be evaluated on the basis of the relevance of the topics covered and the availability of oral communications
